ОБЪЯВЛЕНИЯ (на русс. и англ. яз.) *** Объявление на английском и русском языках. - Please feel free to distribute this announcement as widely as possible. 1/English 2/Russian Caspian Environment Programme (CEP) Announces the Fourth Round of the Micro Environment Grants (MEG) Caspian Environment Programme (CEP) announces the Fourth Round of the Micro Environment Grants (MEG IV). The purpose of the MEG is to raise public awareness, knowledge and understanding of the environmental problems facing the Caspian Sea. The MEG will help you to finance the small-scale projects with a REAL impact to address urgent environmental problems through raising awareness of a number of specific issues including the declining biodiversity, pollution of land near the Caspian and of rivers that flow into the Caspian. MEG IV awards grants from a minimum scale of USD 500 to maximum USD 3,000. Grants will support projects in the Caspian Regions of Azerbaijan, I.R. Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan. The Caspian Region is defined as coastal areas and 100 km inland of the sea, and also includes the major tributaries. Any group of people who has the capacity to raise public awareness is eligible. This includes NGOs, Schools, Community Groups, specialist groups, associations, trade unions and others. You may wish to contact Matched Small Grants and Public Participation Advisor (MPPA) in your country or Programme Coordination Office (PCU) in Tehran in case you are not sure whether you are qualify or not. Цель ПМГООС - содействие в финансировании небольших проектов, реально способствующих решению приоритетных экологических проблем путем повышения осведомленности населения, знания и понимания экологических проблем Каспийского моря. ПМГООС окажет поддержку проектам в прикаспийских районах Азербайджана, Ирана, Казахстана, России и Туркменистана. Размеры грантов - от 500 до 3000 долларов США. К реализации проектов могут быть привлечены также собственные средства соискателей и/или их партнеров, хотя это не является обязательным условием. Право обратиться за получением гранта имеет любая группа лиц, обладающая возможностью повысить осведомленность населения или осуществить небольшой проект. Сюда входят неправительственные организации (НПО), школы, общественные группы, научные сообщества, ассоциации, профсоюзы и др. Azerbaijan Aims to Develop Renewable Energy ADB has approved a $700,000 in technical assistance (TA) project to help Azerbaijan reduce domestic imbalances in economic growth with reliable and environmentally clean energy supplies. In particular, the TA will prepare criteria for selecting priority renewable energy investment projects and develop a shortlist of such project; produce a pre-feasibility report for short-listed projects and rank priority projects; evaluate and identify an appropriate institutional setup for implementing renewable energy project; and prepare highest-ranked priority projects for ADB financing.
